This was sort of unexpected. I was with the wife rock hunting along the shores of Lake Michigan. I took the drone up for few pictures for our anniversary. Needless to say, I was surprised when I spotted some big smallmouth swimming along. It was too far for me to travel by boat. I looked for a near ramp and there wasn't anything within 20 miles of the secluded beach. We decided to go back again after the storms the other night to hunt for a few more rocks. I took a fishing rod with me to see if I could get lucky from shore. Despite the water being all stirred up from the storms I managed to catch two tanks. I'll put that drone footage up on our fishing channel when I get back in town. Jim and I went out over the holiday weekend and decided to drop the camera down on a rocky shoal. It was loaded with inactive young year class smallmouth.
