This was sort of unexpected. I was with the wife rock hunting along the shores of Lake Michigan. I took the drone up for few pictures for our anniversary. Needless to say, I was surprised when I spotted some big smallmouth swimming along. It was too far for me to travel by boat. I looked for a near ramp and there wasn't anything within 20 miles of the secluded beach. We decided to go back again after the storms the other night to hunt for a few more rocks. I took a fishing rod with me to see if I could get lucky from shore. Despite the water being all stirred up from the storms I managed to catch two tanks. I'll put that drone footage up on our fishing channel when I get back in town. I took this video last week of few largemouth bass on beds in Michigan. The thing that surprised me most is you can't really even tell there is a bed there. Have you guys ever noticed that some bass make large beds and others don't? The video is a short two or so minute glimpse underwater of the bass hanging around the bed and how one reacts to a wacky rig near it. #largemouth #bassfishing #bass #underwater #spawn
