This was sort of unexpected. I was with the wife rock hunting along the shores of Lake Michigan. I took the drone up for few pictures for our anniversary. Needless to say, I was surprised when I spotted some big smallmouth swimming along. It was too far for me to travel by boat. I looked for a near ramp and there wasn't anything within 20 miles of the secluded beach. We decided to go back again after the storms the other night to hunt for a few more rocks. I took a fishing rod with me to see if I could get lucky from shore. Despite the water being all stirred up from the storms I managed to catch two tanks. I'll put that drone footage up on our fishing channel when I get back in town. I just had to head back and fish this lake after so many years. Seeing the devastation with my own eyes and also seeing if the lake still had bass in it.
Well it finally happened. I'm down to my last one and they no longer make them. It's a real bummer, because I still haven't been able to duplicate the exact vibration or something about it that triggers the strike.
